BWCI Festival – Group Draw
Date: 21 June 2017

The 2017 BWCI Festival, which will be the 16th staging of the event and 10th consecutive year it has been sponsored by BWCI, is now less than 5 weeks away and the Festival Committee have made the draw for the two groups.

Following the addition of a second team from St Pauls, both groups will now have eleven teams, with the top four from each group progressing to the Quarter-Finals of the BWCI Shield and the teams placed fifth to eighth progressing to the Plate quarter-finals. Festival Chairman, Martyn Banton, commented that;
‘We are delighted to have twenty two teams registered for the Festival this year and we believe the draw for groups has ensured there will be lots of competitive matches for the estimated 200 children that will be participating. The organising committee are working hard on the final preparations for the Festival and we are looking forward to welcoming those teams that are travelling from outside of Guernsey and our local member clubs, to what we hope will be another fantastic tournament. As always, it is important to acknowledge and thank the headline sponsor, BWCI, as without the support they continue to provide, the Festival would not remain one of the highlights of the Channel Islands sporting calendar.’
